The tractor should be “three inspections” during the winter idle period

After the fall harvest in autumn, the tractor entered the winter idle period. During this period, the tractor should be fully overhauled to provide guarantee for future production operations.

First, timely clean up the weeds on the tractor, rinse the sludge, ensure that the parts are clean and dry, and reduce the rust. The three filters of the tractor are carefully cleaned and maintained to eliminate faults in time. When parking, drain diesel, lubricating oil and cooling water, and remove the battery and V-belt.

Second, due to the increased load of the tractor in the autumn harvest, the shifting stroke limit piece often bends or breaks, causing a jump. The main reason is that the gearbox locking mechanism and the operating mechanism are faulty. If the upper semi-circular positioning groove of the fork shaft is worn and the locking spring force is insufficient, the locking mechanism will be disabled, and the damaged part should be replaced. If the fork is severely worn or deformed, and the ball end of the shift lever is seriously worn, the shifting stroke will be affected, and the meshing position of the working gear pair will be inaccurate, causing a jump. At this time, the hydraulic lift cover should be removed, the shift shaft stroke limit piece should be replaced, and each fork shaft and fork should be inspected for damage or bending, and the damaged parts should be corrected, welded or replaced.

Third, the winter idle period should also carry out comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the starting system and oil circuit. To eliminate the sudden increase of fuel consumption in a timely manner, the fuel consumption of the diesel engine suddenly increases, which is caused by leakage of the fuel system, insufficient cylinder pressure, improper adjustment of various parts of the carburetor, and poor technical status of the spark plug and distributor. When the gearbox is used for a long time, the internal shaft and bearing wear amount is large, and the gear faces are correspondingly worn. When the gear pair is meshed and operated, it is not stable, and a periodic knocking sound is emitted. At this point, the gearbox should be disassembled, the cause should be identified one by one, and the damaged parts should be replaced.
